Supervision des productions en informatique regroupant les services et les productions digitaux

The computer science field is expanding rapidly both in Madagascar and worldwide, making it one of the most attractive to scientific and technical graduates. Arihanta Razafindranovona, IT Director of EPICONCEPT Indian Ocean, presented a professional conference on 02 June 2022 at the Center d'Employabilité Francophone in Ankaditapaka.

Arihanta Razafindravonona obtained her engineering degree in Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Computer Management from the Institut Supérieur Polytechnique de Madagascar. She then started her career as an Application Development Manager for DIADEIS Madagascar. Then, she joined Interface Technologie as a Consultant. In 2010, she began to work as a freelance consultant and was at the same time Production Manager for an offshore IT company. She later joined Compressport International in Mauritius and started her own IT development business and computer graphics. In 2017, she became the first employee recruited at the EPICONCEPT Indian Ocean based in Mauritius. Epiconcept is an IT company operating in the public health sector. Since 2018, she has also been the IT coordinator for Integrated Quality Laboratory Services (IQLS), a company that specializes in Laboratory Sciences.

The job of the IT Manager consists of the supervision of IT productions, including digital services and productions. This job requires a good knowledge of the IT environment and related tasks. It involves knowledge of the labor market, the business mind, and an understanding of the objectives (profitability, etc.). The choice of collaborators is also essential. It is also necessary to establish a daily operating protocol and at the same time to ensure the relational aspect with the clients. It is also essential to innovate and adapt work methods and means to the existing context to ensure the well-being of employees. For example, a hybrid work method (part face-to-face and part telework) should be favored during the Coronavirus health crisis.

According to the speaker, Madagascar's IT job market is vast and diversified. Indeed, there are many job offers and announcements in areas such as network administration or computer development. However, these offers remain difficult to access for novices. To remedy this, beginners are advised to forge IT projects during their first years at university, and to multiply internships.
